CATTLE: 66-HEAD of HIGH GRADE DAIRY CATTLE
- 55-Milk Cows w/11-fresh last 30-60 days, 6-dry with balance bred back and are in all stages of lactation.
(15-Holsteins; 23-Holstein Swiss Cross; 17-Holstein Jersey Normandy Cross)
- 6-Springing Heifers, all Holstein-Swiss-Normandy Cross
- 4-Started Heifer Calves, all Holstein-Swiss-Jersey Cross
- 1-Bull Calf, Holstein-Swiss-Jersey Cross
HERD NOTES: Of the 55-milk cows there are 15 head of lst calf heifers. The average SCC is 300,000 with 4.36 ButterFat
& 3.1 Protein. This herd is not pushed. Feeding consists of corn sileage/haylage mixed, shell corn & baled hay. No TMR
or BGH. The Rupnows presently have a 50lb. Average with a 60lb.average in the summer. These cattle are bred for dual
purpose. They would adapt well for rotational grazing. Many well uddered young cattle just ready for grass. Cattle are
carrying good flesh.
FEED & BEDDING: All counts approximate. 1500 sm.sq.bales 2nd crop; 500-sm.sq.bales 3rd crop; 50-lg.sq. Bales Corn stalks,
stored inside; 10-rd.bales corn fodder; 20-rd. bales bean fodder; 8x150ft. Unopened silo bag of corn silage.
SKIDLOADER: Bobcat 751, Diesel, Kubota eng, 5600 hrs, new rubber last year; manure bucket, rd. bale mover w/quick tach
