CATTLE:50 HEAD -HIGH PRODUCING & HIGH QUALITY HOLSTEIN DAIRY COWS & HEIFERS
40-High Grade Holstein Dairy Cows, Approximately 30 dry & close springers with 20 cows due within 30 days & 10 - Bred 3-6mos and are milking good.
10-Very good quality, Large Bred Holstein Heifers, to start calving in February

HERD NOTES: The Busjahns have been dairy farming since 1930 and this is the third generation on this farm. The Bushjahn family works together and takes a lot of pride in their dairy herd and it shows. All home raised and calfhood vaccinated. All cows vaccinated with Vira-Shield 6+L.5 when dried off. They also get vaccinated for E.Coli for their newborn calf. Herd Health is with Lena Vet Service. No BGH or TMR. Feeding consists of ground shell corn, haylage & silage. Cows are being milked in a stanchion barn and are use to free stalls. This herd is of excellent dairy type and are deep sided and large framed along with excellent feet and legs. A rare opportunity to buy top quality, excellent replacement dairy cattle with majority selling dry and close to freshening. These ladies will freshen in with superb udder quality. Most cows are in their 2nd and 3rd lactation. The SCC runs under 175,000 for the year. At present it is 162,000 and has been under 100,000. Butterfat is 4.34 with 3.63 Protein. Cows are bred to Calf-ease Shotgun Bull and are due to start calving on December 14th. Heifers are bred to a purebred Holstein bull out of the Wild herd.
